NYIT and ECC release ECC Network app for Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — NYIT Athletics and the East Coast Conference, in partnership with BlueFrame Technology, announced on Thursday the release of ECC Network OTT (over-the-top) apps on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV and Roku devices.

The ECC Network, the official digital streaming network of the ECC and its 10 member schools, was announced earlier this summer and will officially debut on Aug. 31 with NYIT hosting Concordia in men's soccer at 4 p.m. at President's Stadium.

The new ECC Network apps, which are available as free downloads, offer a new and customizable viewing experience on smart TVs for fans of the ECC and its member schools. The live-first app design provides immediate access to the most timely content from across the network.

The ECC and each of the 10 member institutions also have their own channel in the app. Users are able to configure their favorite channels to quickly access live or archived broadcasts they wish to view.

In addition to the OTT apps, the ECC Network will be available by Aug. 31 on computers and mobile devices at www.eccsportsnetwork.com.

You also can watch NYIT home athletic events and road games against ECC schools via the Bears Sports Network at www.nyitbears.com/BSN. The revamped Bears Sports Network features free, high-definition telecasts with announcers, multiple camera angles and replays.

"We are excited to take this next big step in our relationship with BlueFrame as we grow our new ECC Network," ECC commissioner Robert Dranoff said. "This will be a great opportunity for our schools, student-athletes and supporters to watch ECC action directly on their TV, and also gives us another venue to promote the amazing achievements of our ECC members."
