OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — NYIT baseball will have a pair of representatives in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game.

Shortstop Ben McNeill and left-hander Joseph Murphy were selected for the event, which will be held at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank on Monday at 5 p.m.

McNeill, the cleanup hitter for the first-place Long Island Road Warriors, is hitting .319 (29-for-91) with five RBIs and five steals in 27 games.

Murphy, pitching for the Riverhead Tomcats, has not allowed an earned run in 12 1/3 innings during summer ball. He has struck out 19 and allowed only six hits in seven relief appearances.

Both student-athletes will be juniors for the Bears during the 2018-19 academic year.

NYIT enters next season under new leadership, with Frank Catalanotto now serving as head coach and Jimmy Goelz and Chris Rojas joining incumbent Frank Battaglia as assistant coaches.
