Jake Lebel selected to Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — First baseman Jake Lebel is headed to the Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game.

Lebel, a rising senior who is playing back home in New England this summer, is hitting .382 (26-for-68) with four home runs and 22 RBIs in 20 games with the Nashua Silver Knights.

The Futures League event will be played Wednesday evening at the Silver Knights' home stadium in New Hampshire.

In all, NYIT baseball has produced six all-stars across three summer collegiate baseball leagues.

Shortstop Ben McNeill and left-hander Joseph Murphy participated in Monday's Hamptons League All-Star Game, with McNeill going 4-for-6 with a homer and three runs scored.

Infielders Kieran Dowd, Andrew Florides and Zach Kleinwaks have been selected to participate in this upcoming Monday's Long Island Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game at the Mitchel Athletic Complex.
