Recent graduate Alyssa Milano earned IWLCA first-team All-East Region honors, while fellow graduates Kelly McQuail and Karie Znaniecki claimed second-team recognition. The trio will represent NYIT on the field one final time at the IWLCA Division II Senior All-Star game this Saturday in Sparks, Md.

In their second season of existence, the Bears had a strong start, going 9-1 in March. That included a six-game winning streak during which every game was played on the road.

The Bears' regular-season success led to an ECC postseason berth as the No. 3 seed. NYIT ousted sixth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas, 19-9, in the league quarterfinals behind big games from Znaniecki and sophomore Lexi Ruiz. The Bears then suffered a season-ending 22-9 loss at No. 2 Mercy in the semifinals.
