Women's tennis slays regionally top-ranked Goldey-Beacom on Senior Day

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day by handing the NCAA's top-ranked team in the East Region a defeat.

The Bears topped Goldey-Beacom, 5-4, on Friday after a pregame ceremony honoring Lena Dimmer, Alessia Rossetti and Rosa LaCorte.

Dimmer won the clincher at first singles, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5, over Lotte Lesscher y Post.

Goldey-Beacom entered the match with a 15-1 record.

The Bears completed their regular season 10-6 and now head to the NCAA Championships.
